I really wanted to support a smaller art supply store and was excited to try PALETTE ART SUPPLIES. I ordered two spray cans, which with shipping and taxes came to nearly $60. Unfortunately, both cans barely sprayed any paint from the start, almost as if the internal mechanism was faulty. After only a few attempts, they completely stopped working. I contacted the store for help and was met with a very brief suggestion to "try cleaning the nozzle" — which I did, but it didn’t solve the issue. I asked about a refund, but was told no. I understand that policies are policies, but overall this was a disappointing experience: expensive shipping, non-functional products, and no resolution. I genuinely hope others have a better experience, but I personally won’t be ordering again.
The man was really kind and helpful. The quality of the water colours that I bought were very high. Best golden and silver water colours you can get! They also give a student discount, which was very helpful!
Our daughter Yana Mikhailava attended Palette Art School for 7 years. We started going there in 2011 after a few years’ experience with different places. After the very first lesson with Shana Yana said that she liked her and the studio very much and she did not want to look for other places. I would like to remark not only the high professionalism of Shana, Nina and Oleg, but also their patience, kindness and love towards their students. Thanks to our teachers, Yana easily was accepted to Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, and after that to Architecture program in University of Waterloo. Her portfolio was “exceptional”! We are very proud of her achievements and grateful to Shana, Oleg and Nina for their contribution to upbringing of our daughter. I would strongly recommend Palette Art School to everybody! I have been attending this art school for nearly two years now.. Before joining, I tried a few different places. They were expensive and, I felt, the teachers were not experienced enough to be running art classes.... When I joined this school, I was a little worried that it is all Russian speakers, and I do not speak the language .. Everyone in the school quickly made me feel very comfortable in the classroom environment. I started in Olegs class. He is a very friendly teacher, and after only a short time in his class, I realized how little I actually knew about the artistic technique. In only a couple of months Under Olegs tutelage, I saw drastic improvements in both my drawing and painting abilities.... During this time, I was accepted to join a gallery in Toronto, and sell my work. Without Olegs help, this for sure wouldn't have been possible.... Shortly after this, I was moved to Shana's class. I didn't want to be moved because I was very happy with Oleg's teachings... But I was open to it... Shortly after changing classes, I realized that Shana is an excellent teacher, in a way that contrasts with Olegs teaching methods. They each are very highly trained, and each have their individual areas of expertise. I have been in Shana's class for nearly a year now, and I couldn't be happier with my progress. My work receives a lot of praise from the people who view it, and I attribute my success as a painter thus far to my joining these classes. They are way less expensive than the classes I took before I found this school, and much more adept at teaching the fundamentals of drawing and painting. I highly recommend these classes to the people in my life, and if you're reading this, I would highly reccomend it for you. I have had nothing but a very positive experience here...
My daughter loves this art school. The stuff is very professional and provides high-quality in teaching and a lot of care for students' performance. We would definitely recommend this school!
