Good location, but the manicure and pedicure services were disappointing. The pedicure lady was nice, but she didn’t know how to do proper cat-eye nails on my toes. The manicure lady rushed through the service, and my cuticles peeled badly for 10 days after. The shellac didn’t last—several nails peeled within a week—and two nails had visible bubbles and defects.
First time customer. T did a shellac refill and did a fantastic job. Great customer service, calm and relaxing environment, TV with shows for entertainment, soothing music... The perfect me time. :)
Convenience but at what cost?! I've given this place several chances over many years because it's in the neighbourhood but unfortunately, the majority of experiences have been overwhelmingly negative. Firstly, the place is not kept tidy and there are nail trimmings everywhere. It's messy and unorganized with no coat racks. Secondly, I went for pedicures with my partner and we are now in so much pain because the apprentice/junior nail techs did not know how to deal with ingrown toe nails. If I'm getting serviced by an apprentice, there should be a disclaimer ahead of time and discount. This decision should be up to the customer if they're comfortable with an apprentice. I am not blaming the inexperienced techs, they didn't have enough training nor guidance - this boils down to poor management, poor training and zero communication. We feel ripped off. Another example is when I came in to get my bio gel manicure removed and my nails were sanded down too much. All that was left was a thin layer, almost down to my flesh! They were red and extremely sensitive. It was so painful... I will not be returning.
I went to this nail salon out of convenience as I live in the area but was very dissatisfied with my experience. First, my nail tech was an apprentice/learning which I wasn’t aware of. Usually you are told and offered a discount while the training is taking place. This shows poor managent, poor training and poor communication. Second, the station was not clean. There was no towel on the foot rest and old nail trimmings all around the workspace. Since there was no coat rack I left my coat on a bench beside my chair, unfortunately there was a protruding screw that almost ripped my coat!! I’m lucky I noticed it before I tugged on it. Again poor management and training. The techs should know to keep a clean workspace. Third, my pedicure was painful and done horribly. I’m dealing with pain where I specifically said I have sensitivity. Again, I’m not blaming the inexperienced tech. It’s the job of the seniors to guide them in the right direction. I will not be returning to a place that is messy, has full price APPRENTICE services And clearly has no issue ripping people off.
I don't know why the manager play very bad movie to make customer busy in store .I was there whit my 9years and 12years girl and I WAS SHOKED during I got nail polish. I don't go there any more???????
I do not usually give bad reviews, but I really have to say something. I had a gel manicure about a week ago and is already chipped. That is the least of my concerns though. It is the cleanliness of the place. It's a big mess, with stuff everywhere, dust and dirt on the corners and not clean tables and drawers. That is NOT how a spa should look! The girl shoved used buffers in the drawer with the new ones right in front of me. No attention to details at all. Should I mention that she asked me to wash my hands on the sink after she cleaned them? Not big deal, but weird. The big mess, like stuff everywhere, and questionable cleanliness is the big issue! I do not understand all these good reviews, maybe these details are not important anymore?
Every time I come to Olive Nails & Spa for a mani & pedi &/or any other service, I have left very happy. Not only do the services done look good, they also last! The girls are skilled at their work & determined to please. Their good intentions shine through like sunshine. Once you have been to Olive Nails & Spa you need not go anywhere else. You have found perfection!
