Tthe owners are very knowledgeable about the books they sell and extremely helpful. There are many secondhand books available at reduced prices. All in all an excellent choice for textbooks and learning materials from kindergarten to university.
Batner books is amazing! I recently ordered a set of math books that went on a wild trip around Canada due to mistakes by the shipping company (not the bookstore's fault). Batner bookstore staff were so helpful. They called Canpar, got it sorted out and then kept in daily contact with me until the items arrived. The books arrived nicely packaged (which was lucky, because Canpar clearly treated the package very roughly, as the box was torn in several areas). I wish we had a bookstore like this in B.C. so that I could shop in person! Thank you so much Batner books. I will order from you again! I highly recommend the outstanding service from this business.
Extensive selection of French learning resources, and French lit section. Reasonable prices for new and used textbooks. Came with school lists and everything was readily available and rapidly fulfilled. Returned to browse at my leisure.

Hidden gem! I stumbled across this book store while going to another store. Glad I did! Lots of variety, from fiction to language textbooks to board games. Staff were also very helpful and friendly!
Great Canadian source for AoPS materials. Costs less to buy from Batner than to order directly from AOPS in the U.S. (exchange rate, shipping costs and duty). Very thankful there's this local option!
The prices of textbooks and novels are definitely lower here than most. Customer service is also good. However I definitely feel like they lowballed me when buying textbooks. They were brand new and never opened and I got them originally from Batner. I brought three unopened thick Nelson textbooks and four books consisting of novels and one Shakespeare book. This got me a $96 dollar discount off my !$204! purchase consisting only one textbook and three small workbooks. Left the store feeling pretty bad. I thought it would at least be an somewhat equal trade off.
