Zara is amazing!! Firstly, she has such a calming presence and makes the entire experience so easy. I had my dress shortened and added a bustle. My dress looked wonderful and the bustle was secure all night we had no issues with it. She took her time to teach us how to bustle the dress and let us practice with her. So glad she was the one to alter the most important dress I’ll ever wear!!

I bought my dress off the rack and it was a whole size larger, not to mention it had only one seam. Zara handled my dress with patience and care, thinking out how to approach my challenging dress and making sure that I was in agreement with her every step of the way. She also made changes when I changed my mind about how I wanted my sleeves to look. Zara is patient, kind, and an expert in her craft. I am so happy I ended up in her hands for my dress!
Zara did an incredible job with my bridal alterations! My dress was a very delicate satin with a draped bodice; and I needed to have it taken in while maintaining the draped bodice. I was nervous about it, but Zara put me completely at ease with her thoughtfulness and consideration. The result was a dress that looked like it was custom made for me. I was so comfortable and felt so beautiful on my wedding day. I'm so happy that I went with Zara over my local tailor - her craftsmanship and the experience is well worth the investment and drive from downtown!
I cannot say anything negative about Zara. I found her on a whim and I am SO glad I did. She altered mine and my friend’s bridesmaids dresses and we look fantastic! Zara is professional, kind and personable. I’ll definitely be using her services again in the future.
I was originally recommended to another seamstress closer to where I am and, after a crazy quote I started looking elsewhere. I found a few locals online who said that Zara was amazing and I was convinced enough to give her a try and shot her an email. Zara replied to me within an hour and gave me a breakdown of the cost for each of the alterations I was looking for, which right of the bat was very helpful and much less expensive than the other quote I received. we communicated back and forth a couple times, as i was on a very tight schedule, and within the same evening I had an appointment for the following week. When I showed up to my appointment I was so relieved at how helpful and kind Zara was, she explained every step of her process to me and simplified what we had to do in order to make my dress fit in the timeframe that I had. just over a month later now and I have my dress and am ready to walk down the aisle- everything fits me perfectly! The space is beautiful, bright and clean- the perfect space for you and your guests to see the final picture of what your big day will look like. She also offers things like double sided tape and booby tape, which we purchased and found very helpful. I started out my alterations process very stressed-out and in a panic because I knew that I had a tight timeline and it seemed as though it was going to be impossible to get everything done, but Zara was so calming and did everything she said she would in less time than I initially thought. Her obvious skill and peaceful demeanour really put my mind at ease and I trusted her fully through the whole process- so much so that I have been recommending her to everyone I know who needs alterations! if you are considering her services, do it! i cannot recommend her enough and you will not regret going to Lady Needle for your wedding dress alterations. I'm sure I will see Zara again, as my sister is getting married soon and we will be coming back!
