Dr. Derakhshan is the best doctor I have ever seen. She is not only very honorable but also highly professional. God bless her. The staff are also very helpful, and they manage everything in the clinic efficiently.
I'm very satisfied with the services at Dr. Derakhshan's Clinic. Dr. Derakhshan is a knowledgeable and caring doctor who takes time to listen to patients. The receptionist and the ladies at the pharmacy are always polite, friendly, and helpful. I truly appreciate their excellent service and professionalism.
All the five star reviews are very deceiving. I was recommended this clinic by a family friend and what a huge mistake. If I could rate zero stars, I would. Even if you have a booked appointment, it's treated as a "first come, first serve" basis and my appointment was way past the time it was scheduled. The healthcare system in this province is already garbage but it's doctors like this that further prove why it's so garbage. The doctor was incredibly rude and had such a bad condescending attitude, would not hear out your explanation and act like you're wasting their time, saying things like "so what's wrong with you then?!" or "I can't help you with that" and telling me to speak up when I was already speaking at full volume. The only good thing about this clinic was the assistants helping because at least they listened and treated you with actual respect. I wish they were the actual doctors instead.
The doctor at Sunmed Clinic are excellent and professional, and most of the staff are kind and efficient — except for one front desk receptionist, a filipina with long hair who appears to be in her 30s and whom I’ve only recently seen at the clinic. Unfortunately, her customer service is extremely poor. She seems more interested in chatting than actually helping patients. When I came in to book an appointment after not receiving a call for my blood test results (which had been a month), she corrected me in a dismissive tone that it had only been three weeks — as if that wasn’t long. She also insisted they had been calling me, which wasn’t true. She repeatedly asked about my job, even assuming I worked in a mall — which felt inappropriate and completely irrelevant to a medical appointment. I was honestly shocked and didn’t even know how to respond. I work in a wealth management firm, and I don’t usually discuss my work with someone I just met. I didn’t see why I needed to explain that to her. She mentioned the doctor was scheduled to call me on Monday, and I was willing to wait for that call. But she still pushed a 1 PM appointment on me, even though I clearly said I was only available at 2 PM, and that mornings were fully booked. They also close at 2 PM, so it made no sense to force that time on me. Later, when I returned for a different reason, she rudely questioned why I didn’t show up, and told me I was wasting her time for not picking up the phone when she called at 1:30 PM. As someone balancing a toddler and other responsibilities, I found this extremely unprofessional and frustrating — especially since wait times at this clinic are often long due to walk-ins, even when you have an appointment. This experience stood in stark contrast to another front desk staff member, who is always respectful, efficient, and focused on her work. The new receptionist should learn how to deal with patients — we are not there for you, we are there for the doctor, and your job is to assist us. Do your job properly. Your attitude just shows how unprofessional you are. You need training.
"The most disorganized walk-in clinic. My wife was in a car accident with her child in October 2024. She went for an X-ray back in October, and they lost the results. They didn't call me back right away, as most doctors should and would, to come in for an appointment. When I called them, they claimed they couldn't even find the results. The reception staff and doctors are disorganized and dishonest. This is about her and her child's health that's on the line, and they obviously don't care i wish I can give this place a 0 this is somebody's health after a scary car accident with their child for god sakes.
Dr.Drakhshan - Absolute worst experience at a walk-in clinic in my entire life. I went to the clinic because I have had allergies to sunscreen my entire life. I have tried pretty much every sunscreen available at Shoppers DrugMart to no success. Every time I wear sunscreen, I would get a severe rash all over my body. I went to the clinic to ask for a referral for a dermatologist or if there are any hypo-allergenic sunscreen options I could try. Dr.Drakhshan started by asking my 5 time in a row "so you're telling me you don't wear sunscreen at all?" And I said "yeah because now I am scared of the rash!" And she said "well you have to wear it". I explained to her that that is why I am at the doctor.. to ask for another option. She started yelling at me and saying "why are you here? I can't make a referral for you for this small issue. You can go to Shoppers and try different types until one works. Of course it will cost money but you have to." I expressed again that ever since I was a baby I had this issue. My mom had tried many types for me as well, growing up. Then the doctor said "you are 23 and you have your mom putting on sunscreen for you? Are you a baby?" ? What? I just said that my mom tried different sunscreens on me growing up, as a child.... She then said "are you Chinese or Korean, did you go to a dermatologist where you came from?" ...... I literally immigrated to Canada when I was 3 years old. Why do I need to go to a dermatologist in Korea? She then opened the door and told me to leave because there is nothing else she can do for me. Rude, condescending, racist, no compassion, does not wish the best for her patients. 0 stars. Worst experience of my life.
