10/10 recommend! We just got our door installed yesterday and love it. Our experience started with a consultation at the showroom where we were shown different materials, colours, door handles and door styles. Customer service is great and I was able to receive updates on the timeline of delivery. Installers were professional and polite and in a few hours we had our new door installed and old door removed. Would definitely recommend!
Good door, but disappointing workmanship and safety practices My new door from Alda Doors and Windows looks great overall, but I discovered a deep scratch on the inside panel shortly after installation. The owner came personally and assured me it would be fixed, which I appreciated. The first repair was done unprofessionally with regular paint and looked patchy with a poor colour match. The second repair involved spray painting, which matched the colour and texture much better, however, the groove from the original scratch was never filled nor prepped before spraying, so it’s still visible. Not a professional finish for a brand-new door. The team also sprayed indoors without any draping or ventilation, saying it was “just a small spot.” The fumes were strong enough that I had to open all the windows afterward. Basic draping and ventilation should be standard practice. While the owner did follow up and tried to make things right throughout the process, his tone during the interaction came across as patronizing, which made the experience uncomfortable - could be a cultural difference. The door itself is fine now, but not what I expected for a brand new product. It was the overall experience and professionalism in repair that were disappointing.
Had a beautiful fibreglass custom front door installed by ALDA windows and doors today. From the first time I met the salesman ,Leo, I knew I was in good hands. He explained the entire process and quoted me fairly. He also explained that it was a family owned business. Upon installation today I felt there was a discrepancy in the colour, and once it was finished, I phoned Leo. He assured me that the owner himself would be coming to see the door shortly. The owner came all the way from Vaughan to Whitby, to explain to me the discrepancy in the colour. It was because of my interior lighting and he made sure I was 100% satisfied before he left. This is exceptional customer service! I would not hesitate to recommend ALDA to any of my family and friends, because they take great pride in their work and great pride in customer satisfaction!!
