Want to express to the team at Ri-Go how happy we are at Lange Transportation with not only the sales and rental dept but the repair dept that keep our 14 plus forklifts humming away. We started to deal with Ri-Go when we first needed forklifts some 39 years ago, and that relationship has not stopped in all those years. Would highly recommend them to everyone in Southern Ontario.
My experience at this company was disappointing. The workload was excessive, with expectations that went well beyond standard hours, yet there was no time-and-a-half compensation for overtime. There was an implicit pressure to stay past scheduled hours, which created an uncomfortable work environment. Although the position was hourly, many employees were required to take an unpaid one-hour lunch. Several aspects of their employment practices were concerning, and to top it all off they got rid of sick days. Employees were made to feel uncomfortable for using the washroom, and the owners son would often express visible frustration when staff stepped away for basic needs. He was ungrateful toward many employees and would not recognize the hard work from certain staff that went above and beyond employee expectations. Additionally, the owner’s son, who was positioned as a sales manager, created a toxic dynamic within the sales team. Rather than supporting team members, he often competed directly with sales reps—despite having access to more leads. In some cases, he would even reassign or take over promising deals from reps, depending on how his own monthly numbers were tracking. The company culture lacked morale and basic courtesy. The owner rarely acknowledged staff or engaged with employees, creating a distant and unwelcoming atmosphere. Overall, the environment felt demoralizing, and I would not recommend this as a positive or supportive place to work. employees were instructed by Chris to write positive reviews while on the clock. Recent indeed reviews do not reflect genuine employee experiences. In reality, most staff do not enjoy working at Ri-Go, and I can confirm that a significant number of the 5-star reviews on Google and Indeed are fabricated.
Called five forklift dealers in the Concord/Woodbridge area with a part number for a switch (Manufacturer ITW, Part # 14-324). Had no issues getting a price and availability with just a part number. Called this parts department to ask the same question. Was met with a condescending voice who refused to punch a part number in his computer. His response was what is this "ITW"/ "What is this switch". Very unprofessional got the switch at a smaller supplier for $93.75 with the same part number and manufacturer. Please do your job, a parts supplier is supposed to work with all customers large or small.
