I've seen Siman twice for waxing and she's knowledgeable and kind. She provided helpful recommendations that worked. I've been a client of Allure for a long time and will continue to book with her.
My overall experience with my waxes has been wonderful but the service could use some work. I do feel that the general culture here is deceitful and at times fake. If you decide to not purchase products or membership there is a clear change in mood of the workers. Additionally, if anyone is interested in joining the membership note that there is a 60 day cancellation period. Where you have to email to cancel and wait 2 months before the payments stop. Very strange as setting up the membership was as quick clicking a button. Clearly a money grab. What bothers me more than this is that when I began the membership I asked the worker how I could cancel when I decide to do so and she told me it was as simple as sending an email. Leaving out an important detail of the cancellation process. Although this info is on the website I would have appreciated notice and open communication when it came to my conversation with my wax lady who registered me for the monthly payments. I have also had other experiences where products are pushed on you and she gives general ‘ballpark’ prices beforehand which seem to go up when it comes to paying on the machine.
The service was just ok, the girl seemed disinterested in doing her job. I've gotten back wax done at their other location on Danforth a few times and my experience has been exceptional - the ladies seemed more skilled there as well. What really confused me was that she did not apply moisturizer on my back at the end and asked me to do myself. I've gotn this done for a few years now and I've never had anyone tell me to apply the moisturizer myself. I mean how could I? Anyway, not returning
i liked the service and the interaction prior. then i felt like i was being forced to buy a membership and products and when you say “we can get that set up for you” it implies that it’s complimentary and not almost $40; all of these being asked while i’m exposed on the table mid wax (this could’ve waited, there was no reason that was necessary). and the minute i said no to both, and obviously for that energy i did not tip, the atmosphere changed. i’d rather trek downtown to my regular studio than come back for location and price convenience
Horrible services, I seen how they treat their employees. The poor receptionist was cleaning and answering calls and running around doing it all while the owner sat there gossiping about her in laws. Really hope they step up their game with how they treat others. Prices are so unreasonable will never be visiting them again.
Siman is the best waxing artist of all time. She is fast, attentive to detail, and provides a painless experience. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease during the process. Would recommend her to everyone!
I saw Simon a month ago it was my worst experience ever , I went directly from my shift from 16 hour from hospital and before I arrived I told them that I’m not prepared they said okay and later I needed to get done whole body she was literally ripping my skin ,and burnt my armpit, and when I said to be gentle she kept on saying oh your body is dry you much put some moisturizer. Even I told her I’m coming from my work after so long shift but honestly it was a nightmare. I would never recommend anyone to see SIMON
