I have been extremely frustrated with Elite blinds from day 1 that they were installed in my new home. I had 7 automated blinds installed and 7 manual blinds with a rod installed. 1 of the automated blinds has not worked from the beginning. 4/7 of the manual blinds we have constant issues with and 1 of which is completed unusable. Our installer ghosted us more than a couple years ago and when I contacted Elite Blinds to get support they gave me a couple of names locally. I have yet to have any service to my blinds and will most likely need to replace them with another brand. I told Elite of my issues with the installer and they did not seem to care. I was told that Elite does NOT pay their installers anything to do warranty work, so there is no incentive to help a customer because they don't get paid to do the work. That aside, I put in Hunter Douglas automated blinds in another house and not only do I like the look of them better, I have had no issues with them and the automated ones are much quieter when they open and close.
Buyer beware. I purchased 5 sets of Elite blinds on the recommendation of my bedroom/bathroom designer. 20 months later the white finish on the bottom of one of the blinds has chipped away showing the shiny metal underneath. This blind spent 5 of its 20 months on a couch wrapped in a blanket during my bathroom reno and has been handled most delicately during its time on our window. Elite blinds flatly stated that this was not a manufacturer defect as if it were, it would have occurred sooner! I don't believe this for a minute. The other 4 blinds Elite blinds are fine. My advice - buy Levolor. I had Levolor blinds in my previous home for 20 plus years - they were frequently knocked about in the wind - without any damage. My new home came with 10 year old Levolor blinds in the living room that have taken a beating with frequent use - no problems. Spend your money more wisely than me and buy Levolor or Hunter Douglas. Give Elite blinds a big miss.
Purchased 10 of Elite's cassette blinds because they were very nice looking at the Dulux showroom in Barrie. Not the cheapest blinds available, but very elegant style. Installation was easy. Durability was awful! These blinds failed repeatedly, without warning. The resistance clutches that provide friction so the roller moves the blind up and down smoothly and holds at any position broke frequently. After a year and a half we've replaced eight of the ten. One of them twice. So far the manufacturer has honored the warranty and fixed them. But we've been told that it has expired and any fixing of these blinds is now out of courtesy. We're getting one more repaired this week which frustratingly failed today. The sales person insisted these are top notch blinds and they've never failed in her experience. But, we've experienced nothing but problems and are going to have to buy ten new blinds from somewhere else unless Elite figures out why the clutches quickly wear out under normal gentle use. We're a retired couple, no kids, and are careful every time we raise or lower each blind. UPDATE! Oct 1, 2023. Another blind failed today. The clutch released and the material roll crashed down. I will attempt to repair myself in my workshop using a spare clutch given to me by the manufacturer. Obviously, I do not recommend this product.

Very unprofessional dealers! It's been close to 3 months now, still waiting for them to come and fix the blinds, beware of paying the amount in full as you would regret the quality of blinds and the service. They were supposed to come and install the new blinds and the blinds which they missed, but haven't done it yet! I paid full amount and now I am suffering to deal with them. Please I need my money back!!
Poor quality product for what I paid Dealer agreed to refund my down payment for roller blind valances after I paid for the blinds and I have not been reimbursed It has been almost a month I have contact contractor twice I expected better from Ontario Blinds in Glencoe Disappointed with quality of Elite roller blinds Would not recommend Ja’Nell M Brenner
