Amutham is my go-to for all my Tamil food cravings. The dishes are delicious, authentic, and consistently top-notch with generous portions. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you’re ever in Vaughan and want a tasty meal or treat, this gem is the place to visit!
Small mom and pop Sri Lanka Tamil food spot. Priced really well for the high quality food. Enjoy going here for my lunch breaks. Give it a shot! The sugar bun is the best.
Got the mutton kothu and chicken briyani and honestly this place deserves the hype amazing food, very affordable and portions are huge even meat ratio. Food tasted really good and was super impressed. Don’t live near but definitely will be returning!
Food is not as good as Arun Bakery. As an Arun Bakery regular, I wanted to give this place a try. While the place is more spacious and clean, some of the food was stale and not as good as the OG Arun Bakery.
I left feeling really disappointed. They shorted me by two samosas, even though I paid in full. I was hungry and in a hurry for work so I didn’t check the number of samosas, but the staff member who served me acted like my order didn’t matter at all.
We ordered "pepper chicken kothu roti' however there was not a single pepper. The dish was also requested medium spicy but it was mild to no spice. The chicken tasted stale and dry/old - we had to throw out more than half of the meal and order from a new place. We will not be coming back to Amutham Take Out.
If you want good Tamil/South Indian food, go to Amutham. The food here is incredibly delicious. I’ve tried more than 10 different dishes in the past few years and I cannot say one thing bad about any of them. I have tried many takeout places and I can say this is very authentic. Servings are also generous which is something most look forward too. Staff are friendly and efficient. Anytime I’m in Vaughan and need some good home tasting food, believe me this is the place!
