I don't necessarily agree with the lady below said regarding the presto card. In major European cities, you buy a card regardless of whether or not you are from out of town. You can trade it back in certain places but most of the time, you keep it. Six dollars Canadian is reasonable. My problem is that they need to continue working on extending the subway and decreasing the amount of cars. They also need to find ways of making the YRT to TTC journey seemless and cheaper. It's cheaper in Stockholm and about 810 crowns which is about 100$ for a month to use any and all transportation which also allows you to go all the way to the airport. The new metro is however beautiful. They have done subway art tours in Stockholm to highlight the history and artistic journey of artists which is brilliant and I really enjoy. Another idea for the lovely city of Toronto?
Aesthetically these stations are really good. They look nice and are grand. But every-time I come here there is almost nobody! There is simply no density or ridership here. Trying to grow it here is dumb. We have places that need it more! Why would someone build a subway here?
Great looking new station, love the modern and clean design and feel, no gross pastel greens and yellows
So so happy that the TTC decided to extend the subway up to Vaughan. However, they need to put the option to buy all day passes here and not just single use or presto card machines. I believe that Yorkdale mall is the farthest north station that sells all day passes and the lady let me on for free to get my pass at Yorkdale. I feel like some people might take advantage of that.
Love the look of the new station. Convienent to have parking right there. I didn't appreciate how the man working at the ticket area refused to give change back. He said exact change only or buy a presto card. Um I'm sorry what? It's your job to provide change and people living out of town should not have to buy a 6 dollar presto card. It's a waste when you don't use it all the time. You're hired to do your job properly.
