My sister and I have been loyal students at Palette Art School for the past two and a half years, and we truly enjoyed our time there thanks to the amazing instructors, Shana and Christine. They were always kind, patient, and supportive. However, throughout our experience, we repeatedly had issues with the owner, Oleg. He often pressured our family about deposit payments and would become noticeably aggressive whenever my mom asked questions or hesitated. His tone and behavior during these conversations felt forceful, confrontational, and unnecessarily hostile. This summer, he pushed our family into paying a $200 deposit for the September–November session. Although we were unsure, we trusted the school and paid. Because of my busy high-school schedule, my sister and I weren’t able to return until December 1st. When my mom tried re-enrolling us that day, Oleg reacted extremely aggressively in front of my younger siblings. He raised his voice, claimed he had “lost business,” refused to return the deposit, and even demanded an additional $100. His conduct was unprofessional and intimidating, especially in front of children. On top of this, there were moments when his behavior toward us felt discriminatory. We noticed that he often argued with families from our turkish community while appearing much more respectful with others. Although we cannot speak for his intentions, his behavior made us feel unfairly treated and targeted, and it added to the discomfort we already experienced with his aggressive attitude. Despite these negative interactions with the owner, we remain grateful to Shana and Christine for being exceptional instructors and for making our time at the school meaningful. I definitely do not recommend this art school, and I strongly advise staying away from dealing with Oleg! After our experience, we will not be returning.
I highly recommend this school. Both of my children have been going to this school for many years. Going to Pallet art school helped my son get into the RAP program in high school and later prepare a portfolio for university and enter there. Thank you Nina, Shushana, Oleg, Kristina.
Palette is an excellent and professional school of art!!! My kids have been with them almost 15 years (started at the previous location and followed to new place)! If you really want to get your kids good knowledge of ear from highly-qualified art teachers, please join this place! I have been going to these art classes for years, and the school is amazing. I can honestly say I have learned more than I have ever hoped to and really improved my skills. My favourite part is that they really cater to your needs and what you need to improve on, you don't need to be doing what the entire class is doing and I love that individualized approach. They're also such amazing, talented people who really have great experience and know what they're talking about. Can't recommend this school enough.
I highly recommend these classes to anyone who is interested in further advancing their abilities as a painter. I have now been taught by both Oleg and Shana, and both of their classes have been hugely beneficial to my artistic progress . it is very hard to find art classes in Vaughan that both, teaches a high level of artistic expertise, and at the same time is reasonably priced. I know this because I attempted to join 4 or 5 art schools , before I settled on this one. The other art schools I tried out were ran people who's native language was English . I didn't feel that the level of teaching met the standard that I hoped to achieve in painting... For a school who native language is Russian (I don't speak the language) I felt very comfortable, very quickly. These are very warm people, who make you feel welcomed from the moment you meet them, and also highly trained in various fields of the arts. I have gained experience in working with a multitude of different mediums throughout the course of my studies with them. Whether it be watercolour, acrylic, pastel, ink, or Oilpanting, I now feel comfortable working with all these mediums. I cannot praise this school enough. They are responsible advancing my art abilities, and my ability level is constantly advancing with every passing class.
My daughter has been going to Palette Art School for 2.5 years now. She absolutely loves it. I, as a parent, can see how much she has learned, and how much she is learning. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and gentle. They are fantastic artists, and are passing on their talents and the love of fine arts to their students. We will be going back! Thank you!
