Trini does amazing work I've been bringing mine and my family's vehicles to him for over 8 years for remote starters, audio system upgrades never had an issue always been happy with the value I received
A couple of years ago, I brought my '84 VW Rabbit Convertible to Stereo 1 and told Trini (the owner) to simply “make it sound better.” He did exactly that - installed a new head unit and swapped out the front speakers. Straightforward, clean, and it totally brought the sound system to life. I was super happy with the work. Remembering what a great job he did, I recently took in my '87 VW Cabriolet, which needed a lot more attention. The sound quality was terrible, and the rat’s nest wiring behind the dash was not something I wanted to tackle — definitely not a plug-and-play job. Trini took it in, diagnosed that my existing head unit was faulty, and cleaned up all the bad wiring behind the dash. To my surprise, he told me the existing speakers were actually in good shape and didn’t need replacing - something not every shop would have been honest about. While he had the dash apart, he also helped diagnose an issue with my odometer and gauge cluster, something completely unrelated to the audio system. That really stood out to me. He didn’t have to do it, but it showed that he’s not just a car audio guy. He understands these older cars and genuinely cares about helping his customers. He went above and beyond. As for pricing, I’ve never had to stress about it with him. He has always been upfront and fair, breaking down the cost of parts, wiring, and labour after the work is done. His work is solid, and his rates are more than reasonable compared to other shops. All in all, it’s been a pleasure working with Trini. I trust his work, and I’ll definitely be back with more audio projects in the future.
Never do business here! The guy makes his own prices as he wants. Doesn’t know how to treat a customer. Installed a broken stereo and the. Refused to do anything. What a rude person.
I used the U-Haul services, which suck... The location itself doesn’t make a lot of sense, the shop is in a plaza section and the U-Haul trucks are a few HUNDRED METERS away, so if checking in using mobile, be prepared to use a separate vehicle to go back and forth between the shop and the truck location. On top of U-Haul verification, it took about 45 mins just get my hands on the truck. Then I opened the back to see the 3 pieces of equipment I rented, being 2 dollies and half a dozen pads, were nowhere to be found. I had to drive the truck BACK over to the shop location and spend another 5-10 mins while the guy checked the system and then FINALLY loaded everything onto the truck. The slim black guy I encountered was super unprofessional and irritating to deal with. Upon returning the truck, which I did about 5 HOURS before the end of my reservation time, I had to sit in my car and wait for it to warm up since it’s cold right now. A few mins in, even though the rental shop at this point is currently closed, I get a call from the shop owner, asking me where the keys are, to which I explain, it’s only been a few mins and I’m am coming around as I have full intentions on returning the keys… to which he replies, he just wanted to “make sure” because he is trying to setup another rental, for that truck, in that moment, for that night… After dropping the truck off, a few hours later I got another receipt from U-Haul with a different amount and an extra $70 withdrawn from my account. Come to find out that the guy I dealt with, added a $40 cleaning fee for 6 unfolded pads, and an extra $30 for a mileage discrepancy that DIDNT EXIST. In fact, I returned the truck over filled than when I originally got it. In the 7 different U-Haul trucks and shops I’ve used and rented from in the past 3 years alone, no one has ever charged for UNFOLDED PADS, that seemed a little petty to me. I spoke with a U-Haul rep and got the charges reversed so it’s all solved now, but the rep herself, was shocked to see that a cleaning fee was charged for something so small when the rest of the truck was impeccable. I would DEFINITELY recommend to STAY AWAY from this place for U-Haul’s, and by the looks of the other reviews and the response from the owners, it doesn’t look like the stereo business is doing better…
Seeing that this company has got 3. 1 stars is too generous, they should have got 1 and it seems the owner doesn’t care about the customer or make things right, this company should close down.
I’ve never in my life had a shop owner swear at me. For those wondering why there are only 5 star and 1 star reviews, it’s because the owner is posting fake 5 star reviews. Otherwise the business would be rated close to 1 star.
Great overall experience. I was well informed of all options. I would definitely recommend Stereo 1 to everyone. Travis completed the installation in a timely manner and I was very satisfied with the attention to detail that went into my vehicle.
