My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement with all our friends and family here. Thanks to Teri and her team we were able to pull off an incredibly fun night. Highly recommend their services, they’re equipped to take over as much responsibility as you need them too. I love how flexible it was to add different services they offered. If you want to work with a team that is well oiled and very organized, this is the place! Also, we got so many compliments on the venue, the guests loved the vibe. Thank you Factory Lounge!!
We recently had an afternoon event for our daughter at the Factory Lounge. It was truly a perfect setting. Our guests were wowed with the look and feel. Teri and her team were a pleasure to work with. Pros: We loved that it was a space that we could easily customize to bring our vision to life. Teri had lots of great ideas about how to add some extra visual pop and maximize the layout for the comfort of our guests. The location is excellent, with lots of parking. Cons: We wish our event had been longer because we were having so much fun!
I had my wedding at Factory and I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue! Teri is incredible to work with. Her attention to detail, kindness, patience, and expertise are just a few words to describe how amazing it was to work with her. She walked us through every single detail of our wedding and made sure that each moment of the night ran smoothly. She and her staff demonstrated the utmost professionalism. Teri is connected to the best vendors in the city and with her experience and creativity, our wedding was unique and a night to remember! I highly recommend Factory For everybody’s next event. The venue itself is one of a kind, but working with Teri brings it to another level that cannot be experienced anywhere else in the city! While the venue itself was decent, dealing with the owner was a complete nightmare. From the start, she was unprofessional, often claiming to forget previous discussions, even when we had records of our conversation. It's crucial to keep a paper trail when dealing with this venue, as she can't be trusted. She nickel-and-dimed us at every turn, including trying to charge extra for chairs that were already included in our contract. The venue falsely advertised that it could accommodate 250 guests, but the owner later said this was only possible in a cocktail-style setup. This forced us to rent a tent for cocktail hour, an extra expense that should have been covered by the venue. On top of that, she tried to charge $75 for water to fill the tent’s jugs, even though it should have cost less than $10. The owner also imposed many restrictive rules. She said her staff wouldn't start setting up until 2 PM, despite our wedding starting at 4 PM. While our vendors were allowed to come anytime, her numerous rules made things difficult. For example, she threatened our lights vendor with charges before they had even begun working, adding unnecessary stress. Thankfully, our coordinators stepped in to handle the situation, but this was far from the smooth experience we had hoped for. The owner also closely monitored our caterer, who was supposed to assist with cocktail hour and was also a guest. She was not allowed to plug her equipment into the wall and was threatened with a "landmark fee" if she did. As a result, the caterer couldn’t enjoy the event and had to keep working, which was unfair. To top it off, the owner made an inappropriate comment about one of my guests, calling them "gay." This unprofessional behavior was completely unacceptable and went against the inclusive atmosphere we wanted for our wedding. Overall, the owner’s behavior caused constant stress before and during the wedding. She seemed more interested in finding ways to charge us extra than in making our day special. I would NOT recommend booking this venue—find a place that values, respects its clients, open to compromise and honest.
We had my son’s Bar Mitzvah at The Factory Lounge last week and we couldn’t have asked for anything more!! Teri was absolutely lovely to work with. Her prompt replies, attention to detail and enthusiasm made the planning process stress free and fun! The food was fabulous and plenty! The DJ kept the party going all night long! Thank you for making our celebration so special. ❤️
AMAZING TIME! We hosted my brother's engagement party at the lovely Factory Lounge. Given a small time frame to put this event together, Teri went beyond our expectations. The event space itself is unique. It is conveniently located to both my downtown location and my family's residence north of the city. There is ample signage and parking, making it easy to get here. The space itself is open concept, has a cool industrial/hip feel, and it is covered with stunning colourful art work created by Teri herself. The food was delicious and our guests did not leave the dance floor area the entire evening! We invited a ton of guests to this event and the space accommodated it nicely. Teri ran around the entire night and worked so hard to ensure that things ran smoothly and that guests were happy - which they were! Overall, I would highly recommend having your next party at the Factory Lounge! Thank you for a memorable evening and for all your hard work! We had the pleasure of hosting our son's Bar Mitzvah at The Factory Lounge a couple of weeks ago. The morning service and the evening party took place on the same day only a few hours apart. Teri and her staff managed to transition the room from a lovely modest brunch to an extravagantly cool nightclub atmosphere. Each activity throughout the night flowed seamlessly from the guest of honour's entrance in a car, to the serving of the food, to the arrival of the ice cream truck. It was a day to remember for all of us but it couldn't have happened without the guidance, advice and efficiency of Teri and her staff!
