I went to hand and stone because my benefits are running out and why not use them, right? I expected a decent massage and didn’t have to pay out of pocket, great! Not great, firstly, I called to confirm if they direct bill. Whoever was working reception stated yes and asked what company I was with, and then confirmed again. After my massage that was less than mediocre at best was complete, I went to the front to show the receptionist my insurance information. At this point she said “oh none of the hand and stone locations do direct billing”. Clearly their employees don’t know their policies and I had to pay out of pocket for a $135 poor massage. Yes I will get reimbursed but that’s not the point. Secondly, my massage felt like it was received from a child. I clearly stated my upper back/neck area and my lower back needed work. He proceeded to mostly work around the hip area? I felt like I was being poked rather than massaged. It felt as if he had just started working there and was uncomfortable massaging a woman. I had a headache when I left from the “scalp massage” I received at the end. Nevertheless, I will not be returning. Please ensure your staff know your policies.
My first and probably last time visiting this location. I’ve been to hands and stone before, and always had a good experience. Went today for hot stone massage, and was so disappointed. My massage therapist wasn’t so welcoming since beginning…which I thought is fine, maybe she’s tired or whatever…once she called my name I went to follow her and right of the bat I felt like she’s not going to interact with me. She sped up to the room and I was chasing her in the hallway to my room. When we were in the room she didn’t ask me any questions as if I have any pain or injury. She told me to undress and go under the blanket. So I did…while massage was happening I’ve been waiting for some pressure and actual massage, but all that happened was lots of oil and stones in a circular motion. Complete waste of money and time as I can’t even call this a massage…it was more of patting the back and legs with stones…. When 50 minutes finished she asked how I feel and I can get dressed. When I left the room I was completely disappointed as I approached the front desk. None of the girl offered me a water or anything….front girl asked how it went but at that point I was so upset that I didn’t even want to say anything. Thanks, but won’t be coming again…
This was my first time at Hand & Stone and I just had the best massage ever. I've never had an RMT intuitively know which areas of mine were in such need of extra care as I've experienced today with Michelle. Her attention to the massage and her pressure was exceptional. Checking in and out with reception was seamless and friendly. I will definitely be back and I'm very much looking forward to it!

Sometimes when you tell your masseuse what you want it feels like they just go ahead and do what they want but i really feel like Dan listened to what was bothering me and addressed those areas perfectly! 10/10 would recommend, we've been gere before and we'll definitely be back.
I used to come here very frequently to have detox facials with Rose, and loved her service. She is really knowledgeable, and she helped me fix my textured acne completely! I always talk about her when people tell me how clear my skin is. She also always wants the best for my skin, and really cares. I just went back today after a long time, and her service was absolutely lovely, definitely will be back again! :)
