We went to this shop for a very small issue, but the mechanic told us that our fuel pump was “half-burnt” and needed replacement, quoting a very high cost. Luckily, we decided to get a second opinion. Another mechanic fixed the problem completely in just a few minutes with a simple cleaning, and only charged us $30. This shows that this shop is not professional, and we would not recommend them.
If I could give a zero score, I would, but this format is not allowing this. Surprising enough, City Auto Service has NO two(2) or three(3) stars. So, I have bought a pickup truck from someone(Sam the son and Mahamad the father) in Toronto area. The truck needed a safety check required by the Ministry of Transportation, (which is the only reason why I bought this truck), in order to be fit for driving the roads. Upon arriving in my home town up north, the very next day, there was a noise coming from the exhaust manifold. I had the pickup truck looked at by three(3) different reputable mechanical shop from my hometown and ALL said the same thing, that, this truck would not have passed their safety standards, therefore NO safety check would have been issued in fear of loosing their license for issuing safety certificates. So, I called the shop named "CITY AUTO SERVICE" and spoke with the owner Behrouz Maleknejad and explain the situation, (I even hired a translator to help out). Mr. Maleknejad told me that, he did a mistake and said that he will fix the problem and he will pay the totality of the bill. I, then, drove south to his shop and Mr. Maleknejad carefully looked at the truck and told me that this is a problem and he will fix the manifold. AGAIN, I asked him who will pay that bill, and, he acknowledged, since he didn't carefully look at the truck and, also, that the customer selling the truck is a friend, and that he does a lot of work for him, that he did a mistake, and he will pay for the totality of the bill. I waited 2 days for him to do the work. For two days, Mr. Maleknejad, started to give me all kind of inimaginable excuses, on top of being very evasive in the timing for repairing my truck and, finally, to delay the work in repairing my truck. Knowing, that, I was coming from a far distance, why did Mr. Maleknejad didn't start to work on my truck on day one Easy solution from him, make me outwait, (sitting in office, walking around, sleeping in the truck, renting a student dorm, etc.) knowing that I was from out of town. At the end, Mr. Maleknejad said that I would have to pay for the work. I ended up driving back home with no work done to my truck and the manifold problem is still visible. Apparently, the safety check was done for a friend of Mr. Maleknejad, (Sam and Mohamad combo), and, knowing that I was driving from the north, he wrote a safety check without looking at the truck, probebly thinking, that I would never show up at his garage. By, NOT, carefully looking at the truck, Mr. Maleknejad went against what the Ministry of Transport wants when writing a Safety Certificate. From my short experience from Mr. Maleknejad, he has a bad habit of putting poeple on hold in telephone conversations, it is very rude and arrogant to do so. I saw people pay cash, (among some, a taxi driver) for work being done on their vehicles with no receipts handout, which means that he doesn't collect taxes, which means, it is cash money that the government won't collect. I think that Mr. Maleknejad believes that he is above the law. I hope that Canada Revenu Agency (CRA) sees this review. What, I really hope is that The Ministry of Transport gets to read this.
Very good place most recommend for fast and most efficient work at the most affordable prices, went over the other day because of the scorching heat outside and got my ac recharged and checked for any leaks or anything. Wonderful first time experience, definitely will be going there again! You don’t find mechanics like this now a days eveyones out for a price but the authenticity and quality this owner demonstrated was A1 and worth sending over busniess too.
Ben is one of the most honest human being , let alone mechanic, that I have ever met in my life! you can be sure he will NEVER take advantage of you and do extra work that's not needed, like every other independent, sneaky mechanics do ALL THE TIME to make more money! I kmow this from my 15+ years in the used car industry, it's next to impossible to find a 100% honest mechanic, they just don't exist! Plus Ben charges half the price of the big shops. Extremely fair man. I'm just so happy I found Ben, The man is absolutely GOLD!
Mr Behrouz is quite professional and gets the job done. He and his team do not overcharge and handover your vehicle when promised. Here are his hours of operation.
The most honest mechanic shop we’ve experienced. Always extremely satisfied with the work done on our cars and the best prices in town. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I was going to give this repair shop five stars, until it came to the payment portion of the transaction. The person I had to pay was the owner of the shop. He was having a casual conversation with two other people who did not work there, and I waited for him to finish. Keep in mind he's also the only one in the establishment who accepts the payments. After waiting for him to finish his "conversation", which he did not, I said to him I'm ready to pay. He then replied, "can you wait 5 minutes until I finish my conversation?". I felt that was extremely rude. After seeing the displeasure on my face he then came over to take my payment. Before coming to this auto repair shop I read the reviews, and I was ready to dismiss all the claims of terrible customer service, by giving them the "shadow-of-the-doubt. But after being served by them I confirmed all the claims about bad customer service are 100% correct. If you want to be treated poorly, then by all means come to this shop. I strongly suspect that the only way this business gets, "5-Star" reviews in this forum, is by people they personally know. If you're outside of that Circle, then you get the, not so good customer service, and therefore you get a true representation of their service. It's very hard to fathom how people, in such a competitive industry, can afford to treat their customers this way. There is so much competition, in terms of auto repair shops, so wouldn't it make sense to treat your customers extra-special? It is your choice, after reading the reviews if you want to do business here.? However, if you want to be treated with respect, then go anywhere else.
