The best dance school ever. Both my children started here at a young age and have grown so much. Both are now in the competitive program- one in full time and one in part time and the amount of confidence and skill they have learned already is truly remarkable. What’s most important is that this school has a positive environment and it teaches confidence and true love of dance. My kids feel safe, happy and heard and that is really the best part of TDO. The teachers are warm, talented and fun. I would HIGHLY recommend TDO to anyone who wants a great dance experience.
We have returned to TDO for our third season. We have been to other studios, and they simply do not compare by any metric. Coming back to TDO after the summer was literally a homecoming for my daughter. She lit up with absolute joy seeing AJ and Aly again. We enrol our children in extra curricular activities for the enriching opportunities to build their skills, but even more so to build their character. Learning to push themselves to new limits, learning how to win AND how to lose, learning the power of work ethic, teams and community. The directors of this school, Aly and AJ are nothing short of exceptional. They are extraordinary not only in their expertise and talent in the dance world, but arguably just as equally in how they incorporate developmental milestones in teaching kids. Built into the fabric of the school is an expectation that everyone upholds an atmosphere of respect, confidence, and camaraderie. When you come here, you’ll see that perhaps even more important than the evident racks and racks of medals, accolades, and trophies that the studio collects, is the feeling of love and family and support. Meet AJ one time. Meet Aly one time. You’ll fall in love and understand exactly what I’m talking about. Trust me, you’ll come home to TDO, too. All the fabulousness of dance, none of the drama and cattiness you’ll find at literally every other studio.
On the way to the studio now and wanted to share my thoughts. We just had our competitive showcase this past weekend and I'm still blown away. The Dance Official is an absolutely superb competition school. I am SO proud to get to teach here. Our directors are an absolute dream! And from September the students have grown leaps and bounds and it's truly incredible. I'm grateful to be part of an environment where intense, demanding dance training is supported by positivity and encouragement, with a focus on physical and mental well-being and safety. This is rare. Each and every student's journey is fostered. No favouritism. This is rare as well. The senior dancers are exceptional role models for the little ones and support each other like sisters. Seeing the students' passion and skill grow in tandem this year has been such a gift. I always look forward to teaching their ballet classes! Much love. Very excited for competitions!
All the teachers, and both Aly and Yossi have taken the time to get to know my daughter, and welcomed her with loving open arms. The nurturing and loving family environment at A2Y is very transparent, it is very evident actually when you walk into the studio from both the teachers and the children who dance here. As a parent of a child who has been dancing previously for 10 years I have noticed a significant improvement in my daughter's dance technique and abilities. It’s unbelievable actually and also her genuine happiness. I know as a parent I made the right decision to come to A2Y; my daughter is very excited to get to class, and she always comes out with a big smile excited to tell me how her night went. We love it here!
Best studio everrrrr!! Not only are they amazing and passionate dance teachers but they treat everyone as if you are a part of there family! 10/10 would recommend
A2Y is owned by two of the most passionate and caring people I know. Technique is there and choreography is amazing. I highly recommend A2Y for both comp and rec clases.
