Stylish Fireplaces is a First-Class company for price and service. We bought a high-end Modern Flames fireplace from Stylish Fireplaces in Toronto, and it was close to $1500 less than priced in Montreal and was delivered at no cost the very next day. When starting to use it, we noticed that the remote control did not work at all; changing batteries and having three different people independently follow the instructions was to no avail. Jonathan Balayo from Stylish Fireplaces immediately asked Modern Flames to send a replacement remote, but that one also did not work. I must add that, from the get-go, Jonathan Balayo guided us to successfully pair the iPhone app to operate the fireplace, so we did not lose much. Finally, Modern Flames sent us a replacement module and a video on how to do it “ourselves”! This, ultimately, required three full hours from a specialist that Stylish Fireplaces insisted Modern Flames should provide. After 3 hours of carefully removing two layers of glass, beads, and fireplace wood to replace a deeply buried module, the two modems still did not function. Rather than give up, Jonathan Balayo relentlessly pursued a solution to the problem, finally getting Modern Flames to realize, or admit, having delivered a defective batch of remotes (thank you, China!). Today, a new remote was delivered by the Modern Flames technician, and it works perfectly well. What I am trying to say is that anyone other than Jonathan Balayo and Stylish Fireplaces may not have pursued finding a solution for that long, but they did, and I commend him: he is a true asset to his company.
Stylish Fireplaces was a great place to actually see many quality electric fireplaces. Jeanne was very helpful and showed me several alternatives. Note for people going to the store, there are quite a few knock off fireplace stores in the area so make sure you land up at Stylish.
I called Stylish Fireplaces asking about replacement parts for an old fireplace that I hadn't bought from them. They were extremely helpful and told me how to work around the problem with my fireplace without needing a part. I had previously called many dealers and got no help at all, so this was really excellent. Many thanks.
Purchased the Amantii : SYM 34"XT-R fireplace with 15 piece log set plus stones/pebbles. We had a very helpful consultation which helped us determine the right product for our space. We opted for the 12inch deep instead of the 6 inch deep. It looks great and looks more realistic. Installation instructions were clear and we had no problems. So far we love the electric fireplace.
