Today I went in to wash my dog at11am. I was approached be the only staff in the store and was told that there are no towels available for the dog wash. I asked if the price would be discounted, and she responded with a no. So I thought to myself, well, I have come all this way with my highly anxious dog, I might as well just wash her. As I proceeded to the washing area, I asked for a smock, in which they always provide. No clean smock, and the staff was going to give me the smock the previous lady just used. No thank you. Furthermore, the dog area was quite dirty. This has never happened to me before at this particular store, especially when it used to be owned by a responsible and caring couple. Now, as of August, this store is run by head office, and it just doesn't look or feel the same. However, I left the store and went to the Pet Valu in Maple. There, I was pleasantly greeted by this wonderful worker named, Fanny. She was so kind and helpful and made sure that my dog and I were well taken care of. I highly recommend this store, as it is super clean, well stocked and the staff are very kind and responsible. And, of course, it is managed by an owner, Vandana, not by head office.
Visit this store many times, very friendly and helpful staff. Even the cats staff! Gonna miss Mr. Black FOREVER. Wish he has many cans and treats in cat planet:)
I brought my doggy here for a grooming and nail trimming and the groomer, Bassma, was so gentle and kind with my high-energy dog. He usually hates getting groomed, but Bassma made the experience so calming and enjoyable for him. He looks so so cute! Also the girl Aanchal at the front is the best and always so warm and helpful.

Basima is my go to for grooming my fur baby who always leaves looking fresh & excited with a treat :) The entire staff team is knowledgeable, professional and I always appreciate the warm, community-like atmosphere and courteous customer service. first time using the dog wash station and it was a positive experience! My golden doesn't like baths so it's usually a fight in the bathtub making a mess everywhere, lol! But she was great in the self wash, quick and easy for me, and we left with a smile and a treat. Thanks Jordanne!
I love coming to this location. The grooming is always excellent, Basima is so sweet and amazing at grooming. She has been taking care of my 3 huskies for years. I will never go anywhere else to get my dogs groomed. No other location has ever done as well of a job as this PetValu has. The customer service is always amazing too, all of the girls that work here are so sweet.
I have nothing but great things to say about this store and the staff ! First class staff being polite, very helpful and knowledgeable ! The store is always clean and organized . A great store for all your special pets needs .
