Recently re-discovered all the incredible benefits of the library, the value it brings to kids (and adults) is immeasurable!! My 4 year old and I are now regulars, highly recommend signing up for the upcoming event notifications.

If you live in Thornhill, this is an awesome local resource. The big plus is that it's huge—it was Vaughan's first resource library and has tons of space, especially for students. They have great multilingual collections and a 'Learn It! Lab' with cool tech, which is a great community investment. The downside, which is true for a lot of big libraries, is that if you go during peak after-school hours, the teen area and study spaces can get loud, making quiet work a bit tricky. The facility itself is starting to show its age a little compared to the newer resource centers, but the sheer number of books and services makes up for it.

It’s a nice library, the only problem that we have is when the kids are using the computer, the sunlight goes to their eyes which gives them a hard time to look on the screen. Hopefully you guys can put some window blinds

This library is architecturally stunning with lots of natural light. As for a place to study, there are plenty of study spots. However, the noise level can often be an issue and makes it challenging. Additionally, the women’s bathrooms are poorly maintained.

This is my friendly neighborhood library! Every time I come here, it's quietly buzzing with activity and purpose. Obviously, a lot of people are benefiting from this library's services and spaces, and it feels like a true community hub. It's a physical IRL place that's used and enjoyed by all ages, even though so much has moved online. I came to pick up a DVD that I had reserved online, and I stayed to browse the shelves and left with a full bag of books that speak to my current interests. :-D

This isn't a library, this is extension of nearby school cafeteria where all the students come to at around 10:30 am. Everything is loud, zero curtesy. It's absolutely packed daily. Not sure why student aren't in schools. This is a phenomena for me. If you dont get a seat right at the opening, your chances of getting a spot is slim for the rest of the day. They don't leave, they leave their coputers, glothes etc at the desk and walk away for food drinks and then return. So again this isn't a library this is an extensoin of nearby schools forminglins, chatting and your average teenage school nonsense.

Please MUST bring noise cancelling earphones even it is not working. They are providing ear plugs that means they know how noise they are Nice place nice staff but no library manners with people. Please go home if you will not study for extended hours for study….. Answering call normally without library voice or going out to answer(I don’t want to know your personal stuff?‍♀️), closing door loudly repeatably, talking loudly even there are signs saying “quiet area”, now I’m questioning myself, am I wrong or sensitive or they never leaned about manners I hope staff say something to them but only when I asked them to close the noisy study room door. Also, when it’s super noisy they announce to lower the voice but nobody listen or care to that. That was funny what was the point of the announcement. UPDATE: I was staying for study and I kicked out because I’m not high school student. Ummm they are worst than me studying quite. They are running around, yelling, talking to the person end of the hallway who made them do this? Why they don’t stop them but ask people who studying quite than them Even they do “best” with announcement, do they listen? I don’t think so.
