The 1 star is for the librarian who told me I can’t feed my baby. She said I can finish up but next time I can’t. I was feeding my baby in her portable feeding chair by the area where kids usually play. Funny enough, as I was walking around the library afterwards, I saw a kid eating a granola bar and lady drinking Starbucks coffee. I guess the librarian failed to see them eating. I have visited this library multiple times and every time I go in, I see children eating their snacks and while running around. When I told the librarian that I have seen other kids eating she dismissed what I said so I repeated again. All she said was I guess we are going to have to remind everyone then. There aren’t any signs saying no food or drinks by the entrance. I added a pic of where we were sitting. If you are not a parent, I feel like you might not understand my frustration. I read other people’s review about how the library is pretty loud. I do agree. It’s not a place to go study although there is a quiet room.
Great new community library. Lots of seating. Wonderful children's area. Very bright (great for someone like myself with low vision). Inside a community centre...with a bowling alley!!
This place was my childhood I literally always come here everyday but when I was elementary I wasn't mostly going! But now these days when I still a full time student from the near schools I still come here time to time to get sometimes books that I hold because it's more affectionate. And sometimes I come here to study and do homework honestly this place is great really kind staff and sometimes quiet place to study honestly this place is amazing of the whole community centre❤️?
Nice little local library! But seating is very limited with no electrical plugs for your laptop. Gets ridiculously noisy especially when school kids come in. They literally run around and horse play. Library staff does not seem to do anything to control these out of control kids from nearby schools. Not a good library for quiet study for sure. Nearby Civic centre resource library is much quieter.
This library is quite old looking with its antique wooden furniture and 1970s appeal. Has a musty smell. Very friendly staff and good selection of books (albeit small). Almost never quiet though, so many little kids running around.
A decent place for studying, reading, etc. The workers are extremely friendly as well. However, at certain times it does get a bit loud with the teenagers and little kids. Overall, personally, I would still resort to this library for studying rather than staying at my home.
A library is presumably somewhere one can go to study in quiet and easily focus. That is not the case here. It was incredibly noisy, children running around everywhere and yelling, teenagers gossiping and laughing loudly in the corner, and even the librarians seem to forget to use their "inside voices". I would not take the time to write a review if this was the first time, however, this has been the case for the past couple of weeks. I would NOT recommend this library to anyone hoping to actually get some work done.
