I have been getting haircuts from Kathy for several years. She is absolutely wonderful and very experienced and has a very good eye for what works and does not work, based on your hair and hair shape. She is a lovely person and always has interesting stories. My whole family visits here for their haircuts and she has good memory and remembers details about them. Highly recommended!!! I come from downtown Toronto for the haircuts.
When I called for an appointment, the lady on the phone was very polite, compared to the other first choice just north of this one. I asked for an Asian stylist as I have Asian hair. Thankfully, Mai was available on this day. When I arrived she was ready for me, I didn't have to wait. She was gentle and didn't pull at my knots, I have long, thick hair. I liked her service and the cut.. Thanks Mai...
This is the first time I came here and Mei cut my hair. She really knows her stuff. She got it right the first time and importantly, she listened to the way I wanted it. She is an excellent stylist. I highly recommend you get her to cut your hair.
This salon has evolved big time. They have good hair stylists. I got my haircut from Mei and she understood how I wanted it. Prices have increased though for hair coloring which is a bummer but overall this location is my favorite to go to for quick haircuts.
Best location!! So far the people that have cut my hair was Ella's the first time and MI th 2nd time. This place is the location to go to. Excellent service and excellent haircuts.
I was raised not to be rude and to respect my elders. I also was raised to be polite. At this point I am exhausted of people who are supposed to be qualified and licensed hair (colorist/hairdressers) not providing the service that "they say they can do". I went in as a first time client after someone I know made the suggestion as she had gone in a couple of times for haircuts when her hairdresser was away. Long story short, after advising her of my previous long term mess with my previous hairdresser she commented on how clients "from St. Clair" are coming up here now.....not sure what that was all about but odd. She assured me that she would be able to fix the color and I will achieve the ashy color highlights on the next visit. Well, she applied the color to the roots, bare minimum at best and by the end of it, my grey through the sides and back were not done. I guess she missed spots. The color was as red/orange as it was when I walked in. It was supposed to be blonde. Needless to say, she went on to sell me on having highlights on the next appointment and eyebrow tinting. To boot, after I made a comment of how her auburn/red color suited her, she went on to ask me if I was "her age or older". No offence, I never ask anyone their ages as also that is rude but mannerism today are scare by the looks of it. I again politely said "no" and she seems surprised....way to go...you made someone that has a 7 year old child feel like she is 55. My apologies, that I did not wear make up or dress up as normally to "look my age" but going to a salon, I don't need anything spilled on me hence the leggings.....Lol ...You can guess if I will ever attend this salon again or recommend it.... I suggest highly for any future clients that you are upfront with them. If you can do it, then please provide that, if you can't, then say that, if it takes a whole bunch of processes, then say so. Enough is enough. Cost is not an issue....the issue is when these people promise to deliver one thing and do another. So unprofessional on all counts. And after all this I left her a $25.00 tip hoping she would get the point....in a diplomatic mannerism. Can't speak about the other girls in the salon but very disappointed especially being the '"owner".
Excellent place, I took my kids here a few times, they loved it! Kathy was great with them, she did a great job and the bonus part was how reasonably priced it was. So today I decided to give it a try and it was such a great experience! So great, that I actually took the time to write a review. Kathy was professional, cut and colored my hair exactly to my liking. She was really lovely, her gentle sweet personality was just a real pleasure! I walked in for an appointment and left feeling beautiful and like I just had a coffee with a friend! I highly recommend this place!
