Review for Emco: Never Again Extremely disappointed with the poor and unprofessional service. I am not a plumber, which is why I went to Emco expecting knowledgeable guidance in selecting a complete shower system for my bathroom renovation. I clearly explained that I have a bathtub and that I wanted a shower system with a hand shower and shower bar. I also purchased a new bathtub at the same time. I emphasized that timely and complete delivery was critical, as I was preparing for ongoing construction and needed to travel out of province for work. I relied on the sales consultant’s expertise to ensure everything was compatible and complete. Unfortunately, the result was a mess. I was sold a 2-way system instead of a 3-way, which meant the hand shower and bar were incompatible. The bathtub was not delivered, and most frustratingly, the spout for the tub was never even included in the order — without any notice. I only found out through my plumber that it had been quietly left out because it wasn’t in stock. This lack of communication, incorrect product recommendation, and failure to fulfill the order properly caused delays, added costs, and unnecessary stress. I expected better from a professional supplier. Never again.
I called in asking for help for a broken shower valve cartridge. Spoke to Michael Mitchell, and received quite possibly the best customer service experience of my life, anywhere. He was able to get the issue resolved quickly and painlessly through warranty through a 3rd party quickly and painlessly, as opposed to looking for ways to monetize my problem. Will aim to go here for all related purchases, knowing that their service is first rate.
Mike at EMCO is awesome! I was having issues in locating a part that would fit an assisted flushing system for my toilet. No one, including the manufacturer was interested in helping me. Within a few minutes of my walking into the warehouse Mike had located the part online and determined that the design had changed which was why I was having trouble finding a part that would fit. He recommended another unit, made sure it would fit the tank I had and even discussed pros and cons of installing it myself. He ordered the unit for me, and within days I had a functioning toilet that I had installed myself. He has since helped me find a replacement part for a faucet, and responded to a question I had about my tankless water heater. The kind of customer service that Mike and his staff, provided to me is something too rare these days, to go unrecognized. I truly feel Mike enjoyed helping me, and was genuinely happy when everything was resolved. Mike definitely puts the customer first. I hope EMCO knows how valuable Mike is as a public facing employee for the company. Because of the service he and his staff provided I will be highly recommending the company to anyone I know who has plumbing related needs!
I will never shop there again and I don't recommend it to anyone. We purchased a soap dispenser that was in stock and asked if it was returnable if it didn't fit. We were told, yes but the packaging needs to be replaced in pristine condition. When we returned it in pristine condition, we were told we needed to pay a restocking fee of 15%. This was a stock item not a special order and this was outrageous. I felt ripped off and misled!
I would never order anything from this company. We ordered a sink on June 26th and was promised that we would receive the sink by end of July. Until last week, they told us that the sink will be here as estimated by end of July. Today (July 21, 2021), they told us that we would not receive it until September. This has delayed our move in date to our home. I would not recommend anyone to purchase any product from these guys. Our sales representative was Camille from Woodbridge location.
