Low quality: the oil in the steak stinks like hell. No doubt the oil hasnt been changed for acweek!). not clean( the washroom was stibky), awful service( the lady at the cash did my order wrong, didnt give me the receipt and dudnt give me my pop). Dont try it for the sake of God!
I’m the type of person that will give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt. This time Via Panini is out of luck. The customer service is terrible. Not warm or inviting. Clean up the restaurant. Get rid of the Covid signage. Give the place a paint job. If your customer area is dirty I bet the kitchen is worse. And the sandwich today was the worst yet. California sandwiches is just down the street. Worth the drive. I wouldn’t expect a response from the owner, you guys only answer the positive reviews. No clue on how to acknowledge your clientele.
We have ordered from Via Panini regularly throughout the years and always been pleased. Recently had the pleasure of supplying food for a family event and the staff at the Major Mackenzie location were wonderful in helping me order the right variety of food as well as helpful instructions for reheating since we were taking it up north. We enjoyed three full orders of the veal and chicken specials which includes the veggie toppings and fresh buns for four people. We also ordered the large eggplant parmigiana which everyone loved. Food from this location was a disappointment. We ordered 3 veal sandwiches and it was not good at all considering the Italian culture it portrays. The veal lacked sauce, was tough and the extra cheese I paid for was minimal. Also, it was too salty. It didn't taste good at all and was disappointing for almost $45. They still have COVID signage on the floor for social distancing that should tell you enough:/
Wasn’t happy with the service or the food. Chicken sandwich was not great at all and I got a coke that was left over from Christmas and was expired back in March 2025. Tasted like water. Would not recommend
I had daily special pasta, my friend prefered lasagne. The taste was not bad. Pasta was the halal one. The restaurant was just like shawarma restaurants. So its not cozy. Price is pretty fair. It depends on your aim. If you want to take a fast food, this place is not bad.
For authentic Italian Canadian sandwiches, this place will satisfy. I had the chicken cutlet sandwich. Great tomato sauce. I got mushrooms (extra charge) and hot peppers(free) on. Sooo worth it! Bread was fantastic. (Kaiser bun). Ambiance is small plaza fast-food pizza place style with tv near ceiling
