My wife and I took our 1 year old daughter for an assessment with some concerns we had. We had Dr. Zavareh. From the moment she walked in, her demeanour was condescending and judgemental. She immediately made us feel as if we were doing things wrong with our daughter. She showed no compassion for our concerns and, in fact, told us some potentially life-changing news in a very “matter of fact” sort of way. She did not explain what she was doing, what concerns she may have, what the prescription she gave us was for or what we could expect in terms of results. She made some judgemental sounding statements about the way we are raising our daughter that just about put my wife in tears in her office. Awful bedside manners. No compassion, empathy, or understanding for new parents. We travelled well over an hour to the appointment, and were met with a very rushed, very unprofessional doctor. It will be our first and last visit to this place. Based on other reviews, we are far from the only ones to draw an issue with how we were treated. If I could give zero stars, I would. Awful place staffed by awful people.
Was told to book a follow-up appointment online months ago. I did so and asked when booking if it could be virtual. Never heard back. I’ve tried calling them for days now and the phone just rings and then disconnects. Interestingly, months ago, when nobody had sent us our virtual appointment link, I kept trying to call for it and again, same phone issue. I was told they were having issues with their phone that day. Looks like it’s been longer than just “that day”. Having nobody answer the phone for 2 months is ridiculous. Especially since there’s no other way to get a hold of them.
My kids have been patients of Dr. Hakak (pediatrician) for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about him, as well as the nurses and medical reception team. Dr. Hakak is a wealth of information and resources, and does not shy from making dietary and lifestyle recommendations (soo appreciative of this!). Even when everything is going well with their health, we always learn something new from him. And he's also very personable and funny and the kids love him! The staff are very friendly, receptive, compassionate and just wonderful to interact with. While the clinic is often busy, they're able to manage efficiently and calmly. I also highly appreciate the virtual visit to discuss my daughter's lab results and receiving secure email communications with her prescription. Thank you!!!
My children have been patients of Dr. Ostro for over nine years, and he is truly exceptional — caring, professional, and dedicated. Unfortunately, the front desk staff is the opposite. The front desk is the face of the clinic, and it is shocking how rude and unprofessional they are. When I tried to book a post-operative follow-up, I spent half a day trying to reach them. They kept hanging up, putting me on endless hold, and no one ever called back. Even when I finally managed to speak to someone, the call was cut off in the middle of the conversation. It is unacceptable and a shame that such excellent doctors are represented by such unprofessional front desk staff. Please take action to ensure your reception team is trained to communicate respectfully and stop hanging up.
Very bad service, the doctors are good but the staff and their customer service is horrible, its almost impossible to talk to them on the phone to just book an appointment, how can I get a hold of my kids pediatrician if I cant even reach them, they either dont pick up the phone or keep you on hold for ever. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking theyll be making a difference but it's been like this for years, so frustrating, I even complained yo them about it but no change
Please if you go to this clinic do not pick dr. Zavareh az your child's pediatrician!! She could not diagnose a simple "milk protein allergy" and prescribed my son 3 different medications. One for his reflux (at 2 months), laxative for his constipation and Hydrocortisone for excema. Whereas all these symptoms could have been fixed with a simple hypoallergenic formula. When she couldn't find a reason why he is so constipated all the time, she suggested he might have "Hirschsprung disease" and wanted to send him for an X-RAY!!!!!!!! As a first time mom with no experience I could easily guess my son has an allergy but when I brought it up to her she said she doesn't think it's an allergy and I better not give him hypoallergenic formula because he may get used to it!! I am so disappointed and upset that my baby had to go through so much pain for 5 months and finally when I changed his doctor, he suggested the right formula and ALL his symptoms disappeared. Yes, of course she's very nice but definitely not knowledgeable!!
They started off very well but recently wait times have been long. The nurses are great and Dr. Zavareh is relatively punctual compared to other doctors. Unfortunately, the walk-in clinic requires a much longer wait than others that I've been to, even on quieter days.
