Not sure why a 3 star rating. I was advised by my designer and builder in 2023 to have Ridley supply our custom sliding doors during our renovation. They may have been more expensive than the other competitors but proceeded with the order. 2 years later I noticed a draft coming from the doors. I contacted Ridley’s customer service and within 5 days they sent a service person. A part was ordered and today they completed the repair at no charge. Their customer service was professional, polite and they couldn’t do enough for me to make me happy. It’s true….paying a little more dealing with a reputable company really was worth it!!! Thank you Ridley. Appreciate all you do. Jeff and Jenny
I know its a cliche, but I truly would give this company 0 stars if there was the option. I don't believe my experience was a one-off scenario either. I can go on and on about how poor the entire process was, but i will try to keep it short and to the point. For starters, many window and door companies act like brokers/middle-man between the manufacturer, supplier, seller, distributor, installer, etc. This company is of no exception. My doors came from "Ostaco" and windows from "Frank"; so why would I be stupid enough to buy from Ridley Windows and Doors? Shame on me. I literally spent extra money for nothing, with a bonus of MAJOR (an understatement) headaches; 4+ month long headaches - I kid you not. Dozens of documented emails, dozens of phone calls; even a representative hanging up on one of my family members, as well as writing down in a nasty email reply "....I will not deal with (family member name) any more!" My (brand new) patio doors still leak air like a shiv and the quality is sub-par. I guess a tube of caulk is my last and final resort. Excuse after excuse. I should have set a stop watch of how fast they take your money, but come time when initiating the first few phone calls, in an attempt to reach and ask 'why has my order ETA changed multiple times' - crickets. Four months of pain; four! Approximately $30,000.00 of my hard-earned dollars and we went through a thriller from the get-go. Moving along, techs from Ridleys came to my house numerous times (in an attempt to fix multiple hack installation jobs); with one tech telling me 'I know what the problem is and I can fix it now, but I won't, because I wasn't the installer...so you'll have to get the installer back'. It is also important mentioning the installer has been working with Ridley's for several decades. So then wouldn't Ridley's just close this service ticket (one of many), fix the issue and try to gain the customers trust back? Imagine seeing water seep between/into several brand-new doors as you hemorrhage over 1/2 million dollars during a major home reno. Best part is, the dozens of documented email threads truly portray the professionalism (evidentially the lack thereof) of this long standing 'middleman'. That one example is literally the tip of the iceberg too. I'll cut it here or else this review would turn into a novel with many trilogies. In closing, I hope this review helps others - stay away! Run Forest, run!
Nice people but ALL of the windows we purchased have lost their seal and fogged within ten years. Terribly disappointed and the disruption to fix is very off putting
In 2017, I ordered the front door of my house in Richmond Hill from this company. The company that came for installation was very disorganized and completely unprofessional. The door was a bit stiff to open and close from the beginning, and it gradually got worse. In the winter, the door undergoes consolidation, and ice forms on its glass. I reported the issue, and they came, but did nothing to fix it. The door became even stiffer over time. When I notified them again, they said the cost would be on me! This problem has existed from the very start, and it’s clear that both the door quality and installation were faulty. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
Full disclosure, I was asked by folks at Ridley to write a review. However, given our experience with both Jeff, our customer rep, and Tomasz, our lead installer, I would have given a review anyway. So far our experience has been great ? Jeff helped us understand our window and door options and provided a competitive price for a wood/clad product that was a bit better than another’s vinyl/clad option. When it was time to install, Tomasz and Andrew made it all fit into our renovated semi in Toronto. They worked efficiently, kept a clean site and communicated consistently through the two day process. I said as much to the install manager from Ridley who visited the site. Now the final proof will be how the windows work long term, but getting them into the house has been a great experience. And the Norwood windows and door themselves look beautifully made and feel high quality. ?
We are so pleased with our door and windows from Ridley. Thomas Zakowsky did a tremendous job with the installation. He took great care installing the windows, door and new trim and left our home spotless. It was a pleasure to deal with Thomas and Rick from Ridley and their team.
Could not be more pleased with the service I received from Ridley Windows. We have a heritage home that’s over 100 years old and Brian recommended which windows would best suit our home and the installers were professional and friendly. We could not be happier with the outcome and would highly recommend.
