We’ve been working with VinylPro Windows for the past few years, and we’re truly impressed with the quality of their products. Their windows operate smoothly and feel solidly built. This year, VinylPro introduced a new profile with a stronger frame and high-quality hardware featuring stainless steel hinges — a great improvement. They use Cardinal glass, which performs perfectly in Canadian weather, keeping the heat in during winter and the cool air in during summer. We’re proud and lucky to work with VinylPro — a manufacturer that consistently delivers quality and innovation.
Anthony and Nina from Vinyl Pro were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were punctual for the appointments, answered all of my questions and completed the repairs in a very timely manner. Their Customer Service was excellent, which is rare of most companies these days! 5 Stars!
Finally, a Vinyl-Pro Technician Tony along with one lady visited my home around 1pm on Feb05, 2023 whereas booking time was 2:00PM-5:00PM. So. My son woke me up as I was sleeping after my night shift duty. I asked him to observe the hard crank opening of the windows on main floor. He checked and said “it is normal but I can lubricate them for you”. I told him this problem occurred last year after your technician removed the glasses from all the windows and did something with the shims in between the casement and the glasses to address my previous complaint of hard cranking to close the windows. Last Year, Technician had opened the windows and asked me to check the closing process. I closed the windows and it was soft in closing. so, I was satisfied but next day when I tried to open a few of those windows , they were requiring hard cranking to open more than 45 degrees. I should have checked their opening/closing in the presence of that tech. It was my mistake. After explaining this reason to Tony, I told him, “ I do not think it is because of the lubrication as my never-lubricated 30 years old window is softer than these new windows”. I have showed them the smooth open/close mechanism of this 30 years old vinyl window bigger in size than Vinylpro windows just to prove myself as correct. It was so frustrating for me that he was not accepting it as a problem. It was like, you were standing out in a sunny day but other person was calling it a dark night. 2ndly, I also informed Tony that we had to clean condensation water pounded at the base frame of almost every window at the end of the winter season last year. He diverted the blame on home humidity, whereas their own hygrometer was showing it 43%. I told tony that “I am a HVAC certified Tech. Humidity is not the cause but your window glass is cold" He did not accept it rather blamed on poor air circulation around the windows where as he could see register right under the window. I laughed and said, ok, leave it and solve the hard opening problem. I took him upstairs and ask him to check other Vinylpro windows too. He checked them and then agreed that only main floor's 2 windows had hard cranking issue which he denied before but I was not agreed with him. I told him, 2 main floor windows and 1 upstairs windows had this issue I.e. 3 out of 7 vinylpro windows were hard to open more than 45 degree angle. Anyhow, he agreed to change the opening mechanism of only 2 main floor windows. After replacing/lubricating 1 window opening mechanism, it showed a little bit improvement but was still hard. He removed the glass and repositioned the shims but problem was worsened. I asked him to put the shims back into the previous positions as it was better over there. Finally he said. This was the maximum he could do and “you should not open it more than 45 angle and your installer should have advised you, widows are opened fully only once you want them to clean”. His argument was quite amusing for me. The fellow lady came up with another funny reason, “ you know, your house keep shifting.” This was enough for me. I asked them to please leave them as it is and leave my house. Trust Build windows customer service is good and I would recommend them to look for another manufacturer to save their business. Mr Tony have ruined my day. So Pathetic customer service by this company.
I replaced all the windows in my home with Vinyl Pro windows which I purchased through the service provider Renova Windows and Doors. One of the windows was made incorrectly as the insert color did not match what was documented in the work order / contract. The window is a feature window at the front of my home and with that in mind wanted the error corrected. I have been waiting since September 2021 for Vinyl Pro to correct the problem. I have followed up countless times with Renova and Vinyl Pro...it's now June 2022. If you're considering new windows ask your service provider who they get them from. If it's Vinyl Pro, I suggest you go elsewhere. June 10 - the service technician from Vinyl Pro finally installed the replacement window insert today.
What a terrible post sales experience and support by this company! Should we knew this back in 2006, we would not replaced all of our windows and doors (total of 33 openings) with VinylPro! Since then, few of window's mechanism fall apart and few windows start developing condensation between the glass panels. We tried to contact the VinylPro for the last two months literally every second day, sending them numerous e-mails and leaving several voice-mails, and on top, we even had a several conversation with their service representative (Roman) and yet no service call has been set! We provided all asked information the dimensions, pictures and broker/installer information and clearly stated we are not seeking for the warranty repair and will gladly pay for these windows either to be repaired or replaced, however is determined by their technician, BUT after two months of chasing them now we will have to seek someone else to fix those instead! Buyers and current owners of VinylPro windows be aware!
