I had a wonderful experience working with Michael from the Woodbridge location. He helped me find my dream couch. He was patient, knowledgeable and great to work with. He ensured that I could get my couch delivered as quickly as possible and he followed through with calling me as soon as it was in. I am grateful. Thank you Michael.

I would like to recommend this store for your furniture needs. You can find a good quality product for the reasonable price. Ask Michael- their great sales representative and you will get professional advice, few options and can make your choice without pushing and pressure.

BUYER BEWARE. I ordered a $6000 custom leather sofa at the end of March 2023, based on the promise the sofa would arrive in 6 weeks (I was skeptical, but Joseph "double checked" and promised it was correct). After months of phone calls assuring me they had no idea why the sofa hadn't arrived, I finally received it in November (over 7 months later). This was when I discovered the manufacturer website clearly states custom orders take 16-20 weeks to prepare before shipping. DFC had been lying to me the entire time. But that's not all! After months of waiting, the sofa arrived damaged (torn leather in multiple places, a footrest with the padding sewn incorrectly, and a bent frame that makes one end of the couch crooked and uncomfortable). The delivery people used a utility knife to remove the protective plastic covering and cut the leather as well. I received the wrong throw cushions. They didn't even provide any paperwork (no final receipt or warranty information). It has now been almost 5 months, and DFC has completely ignored my numerous attempts to contact them about resolving any of these issues. The 10 year warranty that came with sofa is now invalid (although since DFC is supposed to service the warranty, it was likely meaningless anyway). I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which they also chose to ignore (they have a D+ rating). My only remaining course of action is to sue for damages. I would advise future customers against purchasing anything that isn't cash and carry.

Joseph is nothing but false promises. On December 27, a day after boxing day, we walked into Designer Furniture with hopes of potentially getting a couch. Joseph greets us and talks us up with his sales tactics, he tells us a price after the 20% boxing day promotion for a couch we show interest in. He REPEATEDLY reassures us we can customize it however we want all included in the value he gave us (fabric/legs/extra 1-4 inches/etc.), and that we are HIS customers and that he (supposedly) takes care of his customers. We inquired about the boxing day promotion since we wanted to double check measurements for the home and that we were serious and wanted to come back to see him the following week. He confirms that the promotion will be ongoing until January 7, and he reassures us AGAIN that as long as we see HIM, there will be no issues because we are 'HIS' customers and that he will remember us. He also reminded us that his work days were Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Fast forward to January 6, Joseph is nothing but cold and rude to us. He didn't even recall us or our conversation! We followed up about the same inquires except this time he draws up an order with the custom requests, SUDDENLY, the price he originally quoted us has gone UP an extra $1500+!? Joseph goes on to say WE misunderstood him and that he would NEVER EVER say 20% off a couch with custom requests included and that 20% is ONLY FLOOR MODEL AS IS. There were 4 people there that day (December 27) and I can reassure you, not a single person heard FLOOR MODEL come out of his mouth. At this point, Joseph continuously came at us for misunderstanding him and insisted that he would NEVER EVER make such a mistake with his words after being in the business for over 30 years. Understandably, a sales associate can see many different faces and have many different conversations, and maybe after being in the business for over 30 years, one's memory may not be able to fully recall what was said. But to BLAME and ACCUSE your customers for being at fault after they willingly chose to come back and see you? Absolutely disappointing. Misunderstandings can be mutual, but with Joseph? He made it crystal clear that he is never wrong. We had purchased from Designer Furniture previously and at the time it was with a different gentleman. Our experience was actually decent back then, which resulted in us returning. But now? I can now confirm we will no longer be returning after this Joseph fiasco.

If you’re looking for high quality solid wood custom made furniture, this is the place to go. During our shopping we went to a lot of other stores in GTA, that sold similar products, but here we got the best experience and best price. Also they have a large selection of furniture on display which can be custom tailored to your needs, so you have a good idea of what you’ll be getting. Comparing to other places like RH this furniture is much higher quality and is made in Canada. I will be shopping here in the future any time I need new furniture. Special thanks to Michael for helping us out.

THE BEST!!! My experience with DFC was so amazing. I went there to check out their sofas after trying to find one I liked for months. Michael was a joy and he really understood what I was looking for. I got the sofa of my dreams. Being able to fully customize as I needed was amazing. The delivery came sooner than expected and days before Christmas which was a lovely Christmas gift :). Everyone loves the sofa and continue to say how fast delivery was compared to other stores. LOVE ITTTTTT Oh yes and the material is super super super soft.

Recently bought a dining room set from here. The team was great to deal with. The salesperson Michael was great. He listened to our needs, was patient, had great suggestions, worked with our budget, and never rushed us. Set was delivered on time and the delivery team was polite, clean, and professional. I would shop here again.
